Welcome to my May income post. In this post I share dividend income, options income, and Lending Club income. I set another dividend income record this month, pulling in $477.38, and beating my previous May dividend income by $24.80. It’s not much of a gain, but I’ll take it ;-). I also earned options income of $320.36. Additionally I earned interest from Lending Club totaling $47.58. My total May income is $845.32.
I set a 2017 goal of $7,500 in dividend income and $7,500 in options income. To succeed, I need to earn an average monthly total of $625 in dividends and $625 in options. At the end of May, I’m pacing perfectly with $3,134.57 in dividend income.
At the end of May, my annual options income is $3,574.01. I’m still ahead of schedule here with an annual pace of $8,578. This buffer is good for me because I’ve slowed my options activity due to low volatility, there’s not many premiums I’m interested in. Markets have shown a little more volatility lately, I’m hopeful that I can get back to earning $500 to $1,000 a month in options premiums in the coming months.
May Dividend Income
I was paid dividends from 13 sources. The largest dividend income came from Omega Health Investors and AbbVie. My average daily dividend income totaled $15.91.
May Options Income
I sold closed six contracts in May, 4 covered calls and 2 cash secured puts. Total income after expenses was $320.36.
I’m looking forward to reporting my June income. This month will be another record month for me. I’ll hopefully end up close to $900 in dividend income.
How much money did you make in May?
