A 5-6 Hybrid ARM is very similar to a 5/1 ARM. It’s an adjustable rate mortgage with a 5 year fixed interest rate. After 5 years, the loan rate adjusts every 6 months. 5-6 hybrid ARMs are typically tied to the six-month London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) index.
