Welcome to my April dividend and options income post. I’m excited about my dividend income this past month. I set another record. This April was my highest April dividend income total since I started this journey in 2014. My April dividend income is $748.83. I also earned options income of $260.95. My total April dividend and options income is $1,009.78.
I set a 2017 goal of $7,500 in dividend income and $7,500 in options income. To succeed, I need to earn an average monthly total of $625 in dividends and $625 in options. At the end of April, I’m slightly over-pacing with $2,657.19 in dividend income. This is an annual pace of $7,972.
At the end of April, my options income is $3,253.65. Even though my options income in April was well below my monthly average, I’m still ahead of schedule with an annual pace of $9,761. This buffer is good for me because I’ve slowed my options activity due to low volatility, there’s not many premiums I’m interested in. I expect to earn around $500 in options income this month.
April Dividend Income
I was paid dividends from 19 sources. The largest dividend income came from Korea Energy Power, Philip Morris, and Starwood Property Trust. My average daily dividend income totaled $24.96.
April Dividend Income – Year-Over-Year
The chart below tracks my monthly dividends earned on a year-over-year basis. My April dividend income is up significantly year-over-year. I made $232.53 more this April than last April.
Last month I stopped DRIP investing. Now I’m adding up my dividend and options income, then buying stock. I haven’t decided which stock to buy yet. I’m looking at HRL, ADM, GIS, and a few others. Which stock do you think I should buy? I’ll be spending around $1,010 dollars.
